I can't speak for Wiley, but...

Costa mirrored lenses block more light.  The green mirror (if memory serves it has a copper or amber base) vs the stander amber lens (in 400 glass) transfers about 10% less light than the amber.

IOW, if you're fishing strictly middle of the day situations, the mirrored lenses are probably your best bet.

I debated on green mirror vs. amber when I purchased.  Opted for amber and haven't seen any reason I would want the mirrored.

ya i fish morning noon and eve. so i think the straight up copper would be the best for me. also saves me some cash.

My eye wasn't sensitive enough to detect much of a difference between the amber and green mirror.  I bought mine from a shop at the beach.  Shop owner and I walked down to the water with the amber and green mirror and tried them out.  Both were more than adequate on a very sunny day.

The mirrored were just a bit too flashy for me.  That said, when I buy another pair of CDM's, I will most likely opt for the silver mirror.

I have copper color lenses in my Cocoons. I also have prescription lenses in gray. Both are polarized. The copper color definitely cuts water glare better. From the analysis of lenses I've read, copper is the best color lens for cutting water glare with amber second. Gray offers the most natural color perception however.

I usually fish from pre- dawn into the night , so I'm exposed to all light conditions of the day.

I've heard folks recommend the green mirror Costas for bright days and copper for low light. I'm going to try the green mirror Costa 580s this year, but I've always just used copper for any condition.  I like how copper reduces the glare.  I have two sets of gray polarized glasses but I don't think they're effective on the water. I used them for driving.

The only time I use grey mirror is blue water.  When we used to chase sails and billfish.  The Copper, to me, seems to be about the most "all around".  I've noticed a difference, though, between the Mirror and Copper.  The mirror reduced eye fatigue for me when I'm on the water for longer periods of time.  I don't get headaches when I wear them all day, compared to copper lens.

well the green mirror has a copper base. but does it make it harder to see in low light conditions having a mirror finish?

I haven't found this to be the case.

Like I said, the mirrored lenses block a little more light than the non-mirrored lenses.  My eyes could barely tell the difference on a bright day.

Give the silver mirror a look, they have an amber base.

I have the 580 green mirror and find them a bit too dark for low light situations. They still cut glare but I am buying the copper (no mirror) for those situations.

I called Costa a few weeks back. They told me that Sunrise and Vermillion were being discontinued. I think they said that amber was being discontinued as well but I am not sure.

I have a pair of Kaenon Kore's in copper and Wiley's in the green mirror.  My eyes are quite sensitive to the point where smoke/gray has my eyes burning and a headache by the end of the day.

I actually found the Wiley's in green mirror to be comfortable to the eyes while allowing great through the water vision.  Considering I got them through the Abu Revo promotion, the price was very good.
