Went Fishing With My Son Today, nothing Untill

Featured Replies

Son and I got on the water about 1130am today,we fished till 430pm.The water temp was 50,later on it was 54,and muddy,You couldn't see six inches below the surface. This lake stays muddy all year, but with 50 degree water,I figured we'd catch a few.We threw swimjigs, lipless crankbaits, chatterbaits,,spinnerbaits, crawfish.Nothing in the shallows or deeper parts.Lake isn't very deep.I picked up a Storm's Kickin Shad,Swimbait the other day.But with muddy water,i didn't use it.My son tied it on and I just Laffed. After several casts,I heard a splash, and watched my son reeling in a 7-8  lb.bass.She came to the top, while I was getting the net.But he didn't get her close enough. She shook the hook lose, and that fast she was gone.Oh yeah,he had a few choice words.lol.I just wonder why,we didn't catch any other bass.
