Inporting Routes On A Hds-7 Gen 2

Featured Replies

I need some help with importing routes from my laptop to a HDS-7 Gen2.

I'm using Navionics NavPlanner-2 software to create routes, save them to a SD card, and try to upload them to my HDS-7.

I can't find any mention of importing routes  (*.rte files) in the HDS-7 menu's, users manual, or online a Lowrance.com.  I find no mention of "importing" anywhere; I can't believe Lowrance droped the feature.

I knew how to do this on my old LMS-320.

Help!!!

USR files from NavPlanner2 onto SD. On the HDS insert the SD and go to pages-waypoints, routes and trails-SD disc-USR files-import

"are you sure you want to import?"

"yes"

and then give it some time to upload- leave the sd card in there, grab a beer, drink beer, and another.  Then go see if you can see your trails and they should be there again when you put your nav card back in.  let me know if that works.

Thanks NB, I did this years ago on my old LMS-320 and once I got it setup the way I wanted I never had to repeat the process.  But as soon as I saw you post about USR files it all came back to me LOL  It's strange I could not find a subject on importing USR files in the HDS manual???

Again, thanks..  And tight lines.  :)
