So I got one of these for $60 it is there swimbait model 7' 9" I think and 1-4oz.

Does any one fish these and how are they and more specifically this model if you have used it. I mean for $60 that's a great deal and I can't wait to try it out. I am just wondering how they are or maybe what rods they are comparable to.

I never owned one but from reading through reviews and other boards.  They are just standard rods and are fine with most techniques with the exception of bottom contact techniques.  People say there are better sensitive rods at the price range.  So sounds like it should be fine if you are going to use it for swimbaits.

These rods are good but not great! You can get more feel out of another brand of rods.I do like there rods for fishing cranks & spinnerbaits!

If you got one of the $199 versions then you got a deal. They recently switched to an updated line and I'm assuming discounted the previous generation. For swimbaits, you should be fine.

It's is the newest line they have out currently if you we're meaning it was like last years model.

I got to use it for a bit today and its not a bad rod at all. It for sure isn't a LDC rod and that is what I picked back up and used but it should make a pretty good backup rod.
