After years of being a faithful Evinrude owner I'm switching to Mercury.

 

Pulled the trigger on a new ProSX 250.

 

Haven t owned a Merc since a 25HP in 1979., hated that thing, ran great but was hard as hell to start.

 

 

After a lot of shopping and research Merc has a 5 year warranty with an additional 2 that can be purchased, they also where about the most reasonable with exception of Suzuki, I wasnt ready to go that slow yet, Im not as old as FishinDaddy

 

I may be old, but my Pro SX will get the triton into the mid 70's.  You are going to love that motor.  The fuel and oil economy are amazing.  I too was an Evinrude faithful until going to the dark side.

I knew that would pull you out of the woodwork Buddy.

My ETech was pretty good to me I cant complain, it just started giving me problems at the end.

The only thing an Evinrude can't pass is a repair shop.

 

Stick with the Yammy or Merc and you will not be disappointed.
