Gulp Alive Craw

Featured Replies

I bought a jug of the 4" craw for fishing on Lake Fork. Any suggestions on how to rig them? I was thinking jig trailers or texas/carolina rigged. What do you think?

I actually just fish them naked t-rigged on a standup jig head or mushroom head.

Lots of false bites from gills- but it puts good fish in the boat at times.

Thanks. Do you rig weedless?

I do, but it is usually fished in a mixture of grass, rock, and homemade structure.  If I fished it in some cleaner stuff i would expose the hook.

Have you ever tried it as a jig trailer?

I have not.  I usually throw it after a cold front, or in very clear water so am looking for something a bit less bulky.  It would bulk up a skirted jig quite a bit, and i would imagine it would work just fine.
