Has anyone done this? Down by the pond where i fish in Southern Florida there are always tons of frogs i catch and i once thought about live lining them for big bass. These ponds have some nice 10+ lbers in them and i wanna change it up with live topwater bait. How should i rig one and do you think it would work?

One afternoon me and my buddy were fishing the bank and came across a crawfish and a frog. I put the crawfish on a hook an he put the frog on his. Fished em for about 20 mins and nothing. We were packing it in I threw the crawfish in the water and then he threw his frog in the water and almost instantly something blew up on the frog, go figure.

That is what would determine what size hook I would use. I would prob fish them on braid.

they are many sizes biggest can get pretty big like 6 in from side to side. smallest are like 2 in. then there are sizes all in between

How do you rig a frog? Through the mouth/nose? A leg to give it a wounded wobble?

I have heard folks to rig anoles with a treble in the back leg.

I would think the smaller ones would work better. Probably nose hooked or skin hooked through the belly.

6 inches from side to side?  Sounds to me like you got into some one's bull frog pond.  Those aren't for bait.  They're for eating.

Hook in the thigh with a single hook is they way it was done in the distant past.

Hook em in the A hole, and see how erratic it swims. Probably get the bass to talk behind his back.
