Dumb Question About Pair Fishing

Featured Replies

I was fishing a local jr club tournament and they all said I was really good at pair fishing. I can't figure out what that means :Idontknow:. So my question is, what is it?

I'm going to assume you were "paired" with boater for your tournament either through drawing of names at ramdom or by a showing of hands to determine who you were to fish with.

The boater was probably fishing from the front and you from the rear and you were respectful of his fishing area, his space, his equipment and his boat.

All of which made you "really good at pair fishing" because you were "paired" together.

They were paying you a compliment

Mike

I am told I am paired well with my partner.  I work slightly faster moving baits from the front and he uses slower baits in the back til we figure something out.  Like this past weekend.  He started to catch fish with texas rigs, so I started to throw one also.  The thing I still did different was cast out deeper and parallel the bank more than him.  We worked the same bait at different angles.  Trying to cover the whole area efficiantly.  We won our club tournament have been in the money six straight.  I think when a guy picks apart the structure with a slow bait, jig, texas rig, senko, it kills the team.  Have to work together!

Mike hit it, they were complimenting you for all the reasons mentioned.
