Lowrance Elite 7X Hdi

Featured Replies

Friend of mine is buying a new 1648 tracker grizzly from bass pro shops we are taking delivery of it this coming Friday. He does not know much about how to configure these boats however he knows what he wants. He is getting a 24v 65lb minn kota edge for the bow and wants to run an lowrance elite 7x on the bow as well. He does not want a unit with GPS/chart plotter he just wants regular 2d sonar and downscan imagining does the elite 7x hdi come with the downscan transducer?

Here is the link

Also can this transducer be mounted under the trolling motor?

Thanks

Yes, it comes with the downscan imagining sonar. The hdi stands for hybrid dual imagining (sonar plus downscan).

However, I am not sure if it can be mounted to the TM

I have an Elite 7 HDI mounted to my trolling motor.  It is a very large transducer.  I actually installed a transducer shield because I am always running the trolling motor into stumps and other object when fishing shallow.

Not sure if there is a difference in Elite 7 HDI and Elite 7X HDI.

Found the difference after looking at website.  He might not want GPS capabilities now but I would suggest for him to spend the little extra money and get the gps.  I think he will want the GPS capabilities once he uses the GPS. Just my 0.02.

Good Luck

Have him also get the transducer shield from the same website.  Fairly cheap- maybe 20 bucks I think.
