St Croix Ps70Hf Thoughts....users Preferred (Nj Waters)

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Thanks in advance....kinda looking for people who have used the above mentioned rod and their feelings good or bad. I just got 2 for a really good price,($100 ea) and was looking for what my expectations should be. They are paired with a Shimano Saragosa SW 6000 and a Shimano Saragosa 5000F. Mostly fish for Largemouth, small boat/ shore fishing, not looking to win tournaments....just get out there and fish/snooze on the weekends. I'm the local scout leader so whenever we camp...I fish on some pretty nice under fished private waters. NJ.

They're pretty stout rods! Rigged with those reels they'd make great inshore striper rods. Be fine for catching bass in ponds if you don't want to do anything too clever or specific, but lighter rods would probably do most things better. I use mine for targeting pike in the 10-20lb range.
