how to carolina rig ring fry??

Featured Replies

when carolina rigging the ring fry & baby ring fry, do you guys wacky rig / texas rig / nose hook / or somethin else?

also, what areas do you like to use these on the carolina rigs? (points? flats? etc)

thanks!!!

I usually just nose hook them, but you can try wacky...Try deep weedlines parallel to drop offs

I would let the cover you're fishing dictate how you rig it. Texas rig if there's heavy cover (but a CRig may not be the best choice here anyway), nose hook or wacky rig when it's more of an open water situation. I think with such a small bait you may lose some action texas rigging; I would let the fish decide on nose hook vs wacky rig.

That being said I still texas rig 90% of my plastics on a c rig. It's just the way I was taught and old habits die hard. ;D

Skinhooked T-rig on a C-rig for me.  Only fish Ring Fry, though, not the little one.

I gave wacky a try once but usually just stick by the ole' Texas rig on c-rig.
