Bass Feeding On Fry

Featured Replies

Currently in the lake I fish at, there are bass fry everywhere about 1.5" in size. The algae bloom is in full effect and the bass seem to be feeding heavily on their own kind. I'm having a hard time getting bit. This lake doesn't have a lot of cover or structure. It's about 20' at its deepest. 1-2' visibility. Prob mid 70s. How would you catch them?

Soft plastic... Same size as the fry.. Or try burning

A crankbait thru the pod... Also work the outside

Fringes of the pods... If there is deeper water close... Drop anchor and fish.. work that deeper water too.. Fish will hang in that deeper water then slip in too feed!

Had the same problem. Threw everything but the kitchen sink at it and it didn't bite. I tried baby bass flukes, green and black flukes. Everything.

Usually in this situation I throw a chatterbait.
