Have any of you'll ever been to Rivanna Reservoir in charlottesville va. If so where are the big bass and what do you catch them on.

There are some big bass in there. Hit it once and caught one right around 6. Every cove looks amazing. The cove on the other side of the main bridge (not the main lake side) has some great cover for bass during the spawn. Couple really good looking points to hit there, did not see too many bait fish though. It is a great fishery apparently, but hard to get em so i hear.

where do you unload your boat at. Is it by the dinky ramp right along the bridge and road and which main bridge .

Yeh, it worked out well for me. I just fished that side and did pretty well. It's a beautiful reservoir and not too many fishing boats.

Kevin, take your baits with you and throw everything.

 

Sooner or later you will catch something.

 

Forget the shad as bait.  Use a Sexy Shad or silver with black back Rapala crankbait to mimic them.
