I picked up a brand new kvd 7'4 crank rod 50$ brand new. How does everyone like this rod? it feels great and is my first real cranking rod so im just hoping i made the right choice lol

If you're talking about the ones from Quantam that sell for $159 I'd say that's a heck of a steal. And where did you find one for 50$? My dad loves Quantam rods and I was going to get him one for Father's Day.

yeah its the quantam tour and It was at a flea market the guy had one left from his distributer. Im sorry I wish he had more I would try and get a phone number for you.

They are composite, not all glass but a combination glass/graphite. I have an old Tour Edition USA model that was made in America, it has a full E-Glass blank made by Lamiglas and I really like it but it is considerably heavier than the new KVD Tour cranking rods which are also on the heavy side but not like a full E-Glass blank.

Well I caught a 4lber and a 2lber on it today so im hooked lol
