Pay It Forward

Featured Replies

This is just an idea i came up with and thought i'd share. I'd like to start something where you pick someone at random from here, send them a lure (or type of lure) that you've had success on, then they pick someone and do the same, and so on. any thoughts?

It had been done... Perhaps even with the same threat title...

Ended when the same people kept on asking for the free stuff and trying to get more and more without offering anything in return.

"pay it forward" is a good idea . . . and it works . . . . in a movie . .. . where everyone sticks to the script.. . .. . .  because they are actors.  It is a fantasy.   My recollection of the last pay it forward thread we had here, after a short while there were too many of the same guys begging for stuff.   That gets old.

I'll stop now or I will start ranting.

I just pay it forward with an older gent I keep on seeing at a local restaurant. I picked up his supper tab. There isn't enough kindness in this crazy world.

It was just an idea

David's just bitter because somebody sent him a Mann's Three-For-All. He fished it all year but never got a bite. (;

Don't worry about it WV.  It is a good idea and has been tried and done before.  People just get salty because you end up getting people who take advantage of hte idea and use it as a way to collect tackle and never pay it forward to anyone else.  However, if you do have anything you want to give away just post it in the Flea Market forums and it will be gone pretty quickly.
