Had a chance to hit the local lake, Vail lake located in Temecula Ca., and throw the Savage Gear Glide Swimmer that I just purchased from Tackle warehouse in trout pattern.  I'm just getting started in using swim baits and so far I am really enjoying it.  Today the water was stained with the ends of an algae bloom but its getting clearer and starting to get warm.

 

I threw the Savage Glide swimmer along a deep drop off and against points leading to deep water.  A slow retrieve after letting it sink was the way that worked today.  The area I was fishing holds a lot of fish but everyone knows it so it gets hit pretty hard every weekend.  Only managed a few fish before the wake boarders got too thick and I had to move along.
