How does one go about learning to customize one's lures? ???

If you are just painting and not making baits then an air compressor and and airbrush will get you started. I would start with water based paints for a couple reasons, if you make a mistake the paint wipes off with a wet rag and your ready to go again and you do not need an exhaust fan like you will with a solvent based paint. Paparock, yes I have made some into Christmas ornaments and key rings. When your first starting you will make several without wanting to.

Will, these are used for spear fishing through the ice. They are on a short stick with the line attached to get to the bottom and they are swam in circles, sort of like a puppet. When a larger fish comes into range he is speared. Inside an ice shanty, looking through a hole, its just like watching a big screen tv. To be honest most of these will be in someone's den wall.
