Denali Kovert

Featured Replies

Looking at buying a couple of denail kovert rods, what do yall think about them? What rods do they compare too? They seem like a steal for the price.

I am a Denali Pro-staffer and absolutely love all their rods. I currently have 11 of them. I own a Kovert 7'6" Crankbait rod and use it often. Don't know if I can compare to others. I previously had Duckett Rods and loved them too. Just got a better deal with Denali.

I use a lot of Powell rods and love them but the denails caught me interests, Exocet the don't have cork grips which is a major turn off but I still want to try a 7'2 med hvy for spinnerbaits

I say "Go For It." I have the Rosewood 6'10" Spinnnerbait rod. It works well for that along with lipless crankbaits.

I am a Duckett Man, through and through but the Denali Kovert caught my eye a while back and I ordered some from Valley Sports. The Rod's seem to be well made and of good quality, They have good sensitivity for the price of the rods. The only problem I have with them at all is that they are VERY tip heavy and are a little heavier rod than what I am use to fishing with (Duckett). I do like them and I do think they are well worth the price Denali ask for them but sometime it is very hard to over look the tip heaviness of the rod. I'm not sure why Denali choose to put so many more line guides on the Kovert than was needed. I think this is why they are so tip heavy.

I know guys with dobyns and I've fished with then before but I've never had the chance to won one. The only one in my pirce range is the savy. I'm only 14 so money is a big factor. But I think there one of the best ones made

I have the 7'2"mh and it is a little on the heavy side but it does have good senitivty and loads really nice on hook sets.

Gotcha, I understand as I am just getting nicer rods myself. Then I would got with the kovert and still hit Ron up. He got the best price and service in the lower 48.

I am a Denali prostaffer as well. I like all the rods that Denali has to offer but I have more Koverts than anything. My 7'2's and 7'6s have been getting a workout this summer. From flipping to chatterbaits to offshore stuff.

I am debating on buying Denali Kovert rods my self.  I have a couple of Ducketts but for around the same price I could get a Duckett Micro Magic pro rod.  I am wanting the Denali Kovert cause of how many guides they have on the rods thinking they will be really sensitive. But if some of you are saying the Duckett is a better rod sensitive wise then I may just stick with that.

There is no question. I have fished the Denali's and Duckett's side by side and the Duckett is by FAR a much better rod.
