Hey TN anglers,

I'm from NH and will be heading to TN July 3rd thru the 8th.  I'll be staying at a friends house on Center Hill Lake.  I don't know much about the lake other than its massive compared to lakes I usually fish up here, and from what I've been reading, it appears to be an excellent fishery.  My friends family doesn't fish - can you believe it?? I'm going to try to bring a couple rods and some tackle, but since I always get such great advice from the board here, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good guide in the area.   I just want to have some fun and catch bigger bass than I've ever caught.  I'm looking to get out on a boat at least 2 days.  My brother will most likely be joining me.  Any info. is appreciated!!

 

 

I dont know any guides on center hill but the lake i fish most is in southern tennesse and is a lot like center hill. There is excellent smallmouth fishing around here. Try rip rap or bluff banks with jigs and soft plastics, cranks on main lake points, and if you dont do well during the day fish shallower rocky areas at night with spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, jigs, and worms in black or dark colors. Good luck fishing in tennessee! Center hill is an excellent fishery and if you are set on a guide try searching on the web or check with the local chamber of commerce

Thanks Man!  Just UPS'd a few rods down there today.  I found a guide who came pretty highly recommended so hopefully we'll get into some big fish.  I'm leaving on Thursday.  Can't wait!

I just fished a tournament down there and I got a nice smallie and a nice largemouth texas rigging Go 2 Baits swimming craws.
