Titanium guides

Featured Replies

I was wondering if anyone has tried the Titanium guides?  If so how are they?  How does American Tackle Titanium guides compare to fuji Titanium guides.

Thanks for your help

Scott

I have found no need to go with Titanium Oxide guides. I have been well served using Hardloy and Alconite.

As far as how the Amtak and Fuji compare, Fuji set the standard by which all others manufacture their guides.

I have a rod with the Amtak Titan guides with the Nanolite rings.  I will say, they are very light weight.  The rod I used them on is a bait caster, spiral wrapped ( bumper style).  I am very pleased with them but I noticed with the size 6 fly guides I used they can bend alittle.  The rod got beat up a bit putting it into the car.  I have 11 guides and the tip top and they weight about the same as a size 20 - 25 standard guide.
