Custom Made Molds

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where I can find someone to make a custom mold for a jig head? I cant find what I want in current molds so I thought about having one made...thanks in advance for your replies!

I heard they are pretty expensive to get one machined... I wouldn't even know what type of place could do that sorta things, but I do know they are spendy

Are you wanting these jigs to sell or do you just need some for personal use? If you just need them for your own use a simple plaster-paris mold can be made using your design, cheap way to find out how they work, before going to the expense of machining a mold. The plaster mold will allow you to make 40 to 50 jigs, they do not last long, but for a couple bucks you can't go wrong.

Just want them for personal use...good idea about the plaster cast. I know I can get a blank mold and have it machined but Im sure its costly...thanks for the idea! Is there an article that might instruct me?

Go to tackleunderground, there are a lot of articles about moldmaking. Wether making hard baits, plastics or lead the moldmaking process is the same. You will make some mistakes but for a couple bucks you won't break the bank.
