Okay so I go on a trip to my grandparents every year. There are a lot of gamefish there largest, northern, walleye, smallies it's up near the adirondack mountains. Anyway there is this spot in the bay where they live and it's about a 50 yard by 50 yard section of 2-3 foot water. I know it holds fish because I've seen them. I can't figure out how to get them on this spot though. It's mostly smallies but some good largest are there too. It's very clear if that helps and there are spots with submerged grass spread throughout a mostly sand bottom sandbar/flat. Any suggestions, btw this is my first post so sorry if I did it wrong.

first welcome to the forums and second if the fish aren't there to begin with then there isn't a way to get them there. if they are there then sight fish for them. Senko, shaky head, jig, texas rig all of these baits will catch fish when sight fishing all you can do is really just hope to not spook them

Welcome to the forums. Be sure to click on the fishing forum tab and go to the introductions forum.  It's a great way to get to know folks here as well as giving us some info about yourself.

The sandbars here in the mid-west hold fish throughout the open water season, mainly because the forage base resides nearby.  A great presentation is an internally weighted tube in a color that resembles the bottom. You can drag it along the top of the bar and as long as you don't use too heavy of a weight you can pop it  or swim it over the tops of the weeds.  The other option I'd suggest, especially if pike are present, is a spinnerbait.  Slow rolled, waked, or pumped  it can produce most any species and you can use a leader if bite offs are a concern.

Ok thanks I will try that and I'll go to the introduction forums. Last year I went I noticed the fish were really keye in on crayfish so I'll try some craw baits this time too. The sandbar leads to a steep drop off but in the morning most of the fish are cruising the shallows. Do you think dragging a Texas rig or a jig or something over the edge of the drop off could produce?

Yes, dropoffs from shallow to deep can hold good bits of fish.
