It's a medium 1/4-5/8 what should I put on it.

How long is it? Is it a spinning rod or casting rod? Have to give a little information or we'll just be throwing stuff to see if it sticks.

I was thinking plastics too.

Plastics. Small spinnerbaits. Shallow cranks. 1/4 oz lipless. Poppers. Small walkers or prop baits. Finesse jigs.

I'd probably throw a 4-5" soft plastic swimbait on a lightly weighted screwlock if it were me.

I'd probably use it for senkos or flukes when I need to make a long cast. Unless its on the stiffer side, then you could use about anything.
