Hello everyone.  I have a big favor to ask.  I am wanting to make my own lures; spinner, plastic and crank baits.  I also want to make my own rods.  I don't know where to start so I am asking for help form anybody and everybody.  Here are some of the questions that I have.

1.)  What material do I need for making my own plastic baits?

2.)  What material do I need for making my own crank and spinner baits?

3.)  Where do I purchase the items that I need to make my own plastic, crank and spinner baits?

4.)  Are their good books out there that can help?

5.)  Are their any links that can help as well?

6.)  What materials do I need to make my own custom rods and where do I purchase them from?

I won't be able to go to work for about 6 months to a year so I have plenty of time to take on this task.  I am ready to try something different.  Please give me all the information you can.  Thank you in advance for all the help.

For the spinnerbait aspect, from the magazines that I have seen, www.jannsnetcraft.com is one of the better places for spinnerbaits.
