Learning how to make your own Crankbaits

Hey Guys,

I'm new to this site and think this is pretty cool.  Get a lifetime of knowledge over night!!  I've searched the forums and gathered as much info on Crankbaits, but I didn't notice anything on how thick is the lexan lip for say a 2.5 in crank, and what is the thickness of a 2.5 inch flat sided crank?  I have drawn out my own patterns, not sure if they are 2.5 but close I guess, for a 6-8 ft. diving crank, how do I determine my lip size, and angle?  Thanks.
