I and a few other locals have been talking more and more about starting a tin boat only tournament club. I have a few questions though. How do we obtain permission from a body of water to hold a tournament? Like for example, we would like to fish the susquehanna river from the sayre pa launch to the sugar creek area of towanda as a border. How the heck do we obtain permission or permit to do this?

 

Is insurance necessary or is a waivers suficient? I do not know the laws pertaining to this and do not want to be held liable for any misfortune.
