Anyone Familiar With The Whuppin' Stick Baitcast Combos?

I'm putting some fresh line on a 6'6" MH rod...model number WSCMH66...a 2-piece rod.  Reel also has Whuppin' Stick on it.  Any ideas what the brand might be?  Reel that is.  I know the rod is a type of Ugly Stick.  Model kind of looks like a Pflueger number...WSLP2.  6.2:1 gear ratio and 90 yards of 12# line.  Magnetic brake only.  Co-worker that I am doing it for said it was very cheap...like $40 for the combo.

 

Also if you know what line came with it from the factory I would love to know so I can be sure never to buy that brand.  Felt more like wire than mono.  :doh10:

 

He made one cast with it, backlashed it like a pro, and went back to his spinning reel.  Far as I know it was a while ago.
