Could This Trigger More Bass To Feed Today?

Featured Replies

So right now the temperature is hovering at 90 degrees. The temperature's gonna drop by a good amount by tonight (10 degrees), the humidity will increase, and there will be showers in the morning. I've had good luck fishing before storms but I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence. I don't really wanna go out tonight unless it's a good day because I have to get up early tomorrow but it's been hot, clear bluebird days for almost a week

**forgot to mention I'll only have bank access today

I dont think fish are on a diet in the summer.

I'd fish if the time were available today.

I'd fish during the storm tomorro as long as theres no lightning

I'd fish anytime my wife or work lets me

cause the fish are hungry

pre, during, and post frontal in the summer imo are all good

If nothing else, you'll have a chance to beat the heat for a while and enjoy some cool temps.  If I could, I would!

And I would think yes to an increase in activity... especially if conditions have been pretty constant lately.  Change can often be good.

Fishchaser1 hope u got out during the morning mini-rain (no lightning)

Spent a good hr fishin a local lake before work today and picked up several fish nothing big.. biggest a 16" 3 lb during the rain.

Rain is good

I caught my Personal Best during a pressure change. I was the only one on the lake. I got rained on...it stopped....and while I was fishing a point with a jig, I felt some pressure. After setting the hook and battling it for a few minutes, that was my 7-11.

Long answer short - yes, they're still biting. If you think about it...the best time to be on the water is when everyone else stays home.

The only thing I don't do is lightning. If you start hearing thunder, or see flashes, it's time to go home.

Best of luck :)

I have been practice casting in my yard for 2 weeks, and have 3 more to go befor Dr will let me fish.  I have not had the first hit, much less caught anything, in my yard.  I do have the chance to catch a pb on my very first cast when I get back to the lake.

If you dont go, you dont know. :respect-059:
