I have two lower end rods, one with a cork handle and one with that black crap.  The one with the cork  is broke. Is there any way to replace the black handle with the cork?

Let me see if I have this right. You have 2 rods, one with a cork grip, this rod is broken. You have a second rod that has the "black crap on it", i'm assuming you mean eva foam as the grip. Your question is can the cork grip from the broken rod, be placed on the rod with the foam grip, to rplace the foam grip... :-?

If so the answer is NO, and even if it was, it would cost you more than the rod is worth.  :

By a new one.
