Tallahassee Florida Bass Fishing

Featured Replies

Hey guys I live in tallahassee and there are a good amount of ponds and lakes. I want to start topwater fishing. I own a live target mouse, spro jr full black, and a bull frog pad crasher. I want to know what colors I should be using and any advice you give is appreciated. I haven't caught anything topwater yet and I need help. Thanks.

Also I am fishing over grass and weeds and lily pads.

I feel like topwater fishing is a whole other sport itself.

Hi.

I'm also in tally.

Where are you fishing?

I am fishing at Lake Killarney in Shannon lakes most of the time

Oh OK cool. I have never fished up there. The topwater bite is hit and miss lately, mostly super early and super late. I find I cover alot more water with a fast moving bait like a buzzbait or horny toad style bait. Then when I get a bite or a follow, I will spend more time in that area with lures that fish a little more thoroughly - like a frog.
