Aba (American Bass Anglers) Co-Anglers

Featured Replies

Have you fished as a co angler in the ABA.  I wanna start tournament fishing and it looks like im gonna go with ABA but im gonna have to start out as a co angler.  I wanted to know if it was a posotive experience or negative and how do the boaters feel about haveing a co angler.

I started out in a club and pay fees for club tournaments and pay fees for Bassmasters Nation for State if the club is affiliated with Bassmasters.

Talking about Co-Angler or Non Boater, Its great to be both. Its great to learn and learn tips. It depends on the boater. I had a boater was a total dick about everything.  I only had one terrible boater. Rest were so mellow, nice, talkative.

Its like if hes using trolling motor, use fast action baits. Not using the trolling, slow baits. Your constantly moving.

You are going to get great boaters that you can learn a lot from, and then you are gonna get total dbags too. Don't get discouraged if your boater seems to be a jerk. Chances are you are in the boat with someone that has had some bad co anglers as well. Some where on here I saw a co angler etiquette or do's and don'ts. Take every experience good or bad in and learn from it. GL
