hello guys im max, im italian..im 23. im typing in this forum because i need your help finding the right rod!   im looking for a CASTING  skipping rod....for bass obiviusly.... i will use texas rig whit and whitout extra weight..maybe a little crank or spinner sometimes but most of the time i will use worms creatures  grubs  on texas rig...i fish in a high border vegetation lake....and the fish is waiting inside there.  if im right the rod must be 6/6 - 6/8   MH   fast action   5-15 grams (3/16 oz - 9/16 oz)    so please help me whit  your tips to find the right rod...your experience whit that kind of rod.  ty!!!

Well, what rods do you have over there?  What's your price range?

 

I have always thought that Lightning Rods are pretty OK.  They're not high-end by any means, but they're not cheap, either.

Welcome to the forum, Max.  I don't skip a bait, so I can't help you there.  Not many of us will know much about what is available to you in Italy.  Of course you could always buy Online from anywhere in the world.  Your selection of rod power and action sounds good to me...except for the skipping part.  I have no idea what constitutes a good rod for skipping.  I imagine the proper baits would be more critical for that then the rod, but as I said I've no experience skipping lures.

 

I prefer longer rods, but know from experience they aren't always the best when fishing from shore.  I expect it won't be long before options start rolling in.  Good luck finding what you are looking for. 

well guys i have all kind of rods here in italy....i can order from america too no problem...just tell me a good rod for skipping soft bait. remember i use casting rods

Welcome to the boards! Can you clarify what high border vegetation means? If you're throwing into grass then a medium heavy rod is the lightest I would go. Personally I like a longer rod, at least 7 ft. Also, a rod primarily for plastics and spinners will most likely not be ideal for cranks.
