Is It Ok To Leave Some Plastics Out Of The Original Bag And Do Some Need To Be Put Back Into Their Original Bag?

I noticed that some plastics are much more sticky and gooey then others. When I use a plastic and am done fishing I usually take the entire hook off (ie: EWG hook with Senko, Swim Jig with Zoom Chunk) the swivel snap and put it in my tackle box for next time. Since I use mostly the few same things all of the time they get used quite a bit. While Zoom Chunks and Senko's seem to be fine after many uses and away from the original bag I was wondering about some of the more sticky and gooey plastics that I have. I'm not sure they'd do so well being out of their air tight bag with salt and other chemicals keeping them soft and supple.

I thought that certain plastics like Berkley Powerbaits which are infused with scent need to be put back into their original bag and sealed otherwise they will dry out and become less effective, supple, and soft.

Yes and yes

Which ones can be left out and which ones can't?

Is it like all Berkley Powerbaits have to go back in their bag and most other plastics don't?

I leave power baits out of the package but they will lose their scent, the main reason I keep my plastics like zoom in bags seperate is because they bleed together and mix colors

I havent found/realized a foolproof way to find what baits you need to re-seal and which ones you dont.  I DO know that I've learned the hard way with a few of them.  Berkley Powerbaits and their Gulp line are 2 of which I've learned need to be resealed.  Ive not, they get hard as rocks and need to be trashed.  My tactic is, if it feels slimy/wet when it comes out of the bag, keep it in that same bag and seal it.

Zman plastics do not play well with others!
