Tatula Hd For Swimbaits?

Featured Replies

Hey guys what are your thoughts on the Tatula HD for swimbaits? I know it has a larger line capacity, but it is not quite as large as reels like the Lexa 300 or Curado that a lot of people like for swimbaits. Daiwa's website says that it can hold 14/165 or 20/100. Would that be large enough? I am using an older reel right now for swimbaits and would like to get something better pretty soon. Thanks!

I think it will work fine, it's pretty hard to cast 100 yds lol. I was looking at them but got a great deal on a used BB2

Thanks! I wouldnt mind looking for some used reels as well, its just about all I throw at the moment is the Tatula and I love it. I am slowly changing all of my reels over to them. So when I saw the HD I got really excited thinking it may work for swimbaits and I can stick to the model that I like so much.

The Tatula HD was designed for applications that you need a lot of line capacity for so I would say yes it would work perfectly.
