My father's old "fishin buddy" died after many years of service and we are looking to upgrade. He has a 10 foot bass raider (not prewired). Would it be difficult to mount the 718 and is it too large for the bass raider? The price is good as it's only 25 or so more than humminbird's lowest model "fishin buddy".
