Muddy Rivers

Featured Replies

Been fishing the St. John in NB and it has been a muddy mess the past few days after some heavy rains.  Been out twice this week and have caught only a few even at my hotspots.  Is it pointless to fish after these heavy rains?

It can be very ,very difficult at times. When my favorite river turns into mud with visibility of less then a couple inches there is only one pattern I can catch fish on. Incoming brooks with clearer water. Fish will position themselves where the water clarity mixes and any eddies that are near by. At times they will stack up there big time.
