Melting Frogs

Featured Replies

So I was fishing in a near by pond and it has quit a few Lille pads and grass beds, so like a lot of fisherman suggest I brought a few frogs without thinking to much about it, I threw them in my Plano tackle box and headed out to the pond. When I got to the pond I fished with a spro frog from 6am to 10am when I headed to my back pack filled with all my gear I opened my Plano tackle box and it was a gooey mess, all my frogs had melted together to form a giant ball of melted plastic, well there goes 100 bucks of frogs. So I was wondering had to avoid this situation from happening to me again. Thanks

What brand were these frogs??

I've never had that happen and I fish in 95+ degree heat all the time.

Your hollow bodies melted?? Or your soft body frogs melted onto your hollow bodies? I have never seen or heard of a hollow body frog melting  before.

The the legs/frilly stuff melts on all my Spro frogs, not with any other brand I have though.

Must be a spro thing. I fish booyah or LiveTarget depending on where I am going and I have never had the skirts melt.

I have a few Booyahs and Live Targets as well, and don't have an issue.

I have spro's and never had it happen either. The weren't mixed with Zman frogs or plastics were they?

I'm thinking the same thing.

i've melted so many things its ridiculous. even the skirt bands from skirt unlimited melted around my skirts.  senkos melted to non senkos.  river2sea frog legs melted on themselves (they did back their product and send me a new frog). i'm fascinated when guys tell me they never melted anything. i've even had a senko on the floor literally melt into the bottom of my nike shoe. now i'm careful to keep everything separate and/or in their original packaging. fyi it's not the heat as much as it is a chemical reaction.
