Bass Club For A Young Non-Boater In Wisconsin

Featured Replies

Hello, I am young anger from Madison Wisconsin. I do not currently have a boat, and I am wanting to start fishing tournaments. I am 16 years old and I live on the east side of Madison although I will most likely be moving to the deforest area. I am looking to start fishing tournaments and competing in this great sport. Since I am a non boater I would obviously be fishing as a co-angler. I have been fishing for most of my life but I have been targeting bass specifically for most of this year. If you have any information or if one of you is a part of club near me, please let me know. Thanks for your time

Sorry I can't help you with any clubs local to you...But most clubs will have some sort of membership guy that handles new members coming in.  I would just look up some local clubs and reach out to them, they will be able to give you an idea of what to expect.

In addition to your fishing gear, make sure you have a good PFD to use as not all boaters will carry an extra.  :)

Too bad you're not in our area, we are looking for new co-anglers!

Jacob, go to the top of this page and look at the Links icon.

Go to Wisconsin, if it is listed, and start contacting those clubs.

If no Wisconsin then hit the Internet for both BASS and FLW and contact them about contacting the Wisconsin Federations. The Wisconsin Federations can help you find a bass club in your area.

Age 16 is the minimum age for my BASS club in Virginia and probably for Wisconsin?

Please try to locate a local club before August 30 as the state will be in mourning after the great LSU Fighting Tigers take the Badgers apart in Houston!

Let us know what you find out.

All the best.
