Melting Pot for Plactic Worms

Featured Replies

Hi,

First post here.  Looking for info/recommendations for Melting pots for making plastic worms.  My grandson is into making his own plastic worms but heating the material in a microwave is not working very well.  I thought I would get him a melting pot for Christmas and looking for info/rec.   The only one I have found is at Janns Craft.  Would apprecate any help.

Thanks in Advance

lurecraft.com has lee's plastic melting pots also. If you search around that site it has everything he will need to pour to include tons of less expensive molds. Most guys still heat up the plastic in the measuring cup then when it turns clear they dump it into the melting pot. Mainly because it saves time but the pot will melt the plastic on it's own just fine. If he pours a lot lure craft also has larger melting pots.
