Which Shimano Sellus spinning rod is the correct # for the shakyhead technique ? ... All sites I visit (including Shimano)  say the Sellus line is technique specific - but none tell you which Sellus spinning rod is specific to shakyhead ? ...Two models of  : "Worm & Jig" in the line up don't help explain eiter  ... Thanks in advance !

6'8 medium / Xfast would be great for shakeyheads, 15lb braid with a 8 or 10lb fluoro leader

If you have to have a 'Sellus' for Shaky Head fishing, the 'Drop Shot' model might be your best option for light shakeys. I have that rod, as it was my 'Drop Shot' rod for a time, and a pretty darn good one at that price, but even though it's labeled "Medium" it is a true 'Drop Shot' rod. I personally don't like it for shakeys as I prefer a stiffer tip for that kind of hookset. I'd also prefer it were a couple inches longer. With braid, you might get away with it. It's definitely a neat little rod for the money. Put a little Shimano 1000 on their and you have a nicely balanced little setup. If you fish heavier 'Shaky Heads' maybe the 'Worm and Jig' will do, but if you're like me, 'Shaky Head' fishing is usually more of a light line tactic. When I do go heavier, I'm into my casting gear.

Thanks - I did find the Drop Shot model Sellus and I would call that ML Fast (not M XF as labled) ...Fine for drop shot and perhaps even lighter cranking - but a little to "whippy" for me to use as a shakey head rod . Still , a nice light rod though ...

The 7'1" M/XF might be a good option if you're looking at the sellus.

I have the sellus worm and jig model and i have used it alot for t-rigging and shaky head fishing.  I now only use it for drop shot because i use more casting rods
