Hi I am new to bass resource and this is my first post. I was wondering what is in your guy's opinion the best rod and reel for flipping and pitching. I do not want to have to spend over $300.

All the major manufactures have a rig for $300 that will work fine. Its kinda personal preference. ..

For pitching and flipping, IMO the rod is the most important part, so I would spend more on it than the reel. A good $100-130 reel and then a great $150-200 rod.

If you do some research I'm sure you can find a great setup for that much, In that price range there are tons of good options.

For what you want the rod is the most important. IMHO

More things come into play...length, weight, reel seat, handle style etc.
