Matzuo Nano Kroaker Frogs

Featured Replies

Did a search on Google and on here but didn't see much info on these frogs. Has anyone used one before? I'm mostly curious about hook-up rates and durability of the frog as even though they are cheap I don't want to be wasting money if the material and/or design hinders the ability to hook fish. I am currently using Booyah Pad Crashers so if anyone has a comparison between the two that would be amazing.

Thanks!

I had one and it was an ok bait. I found it was a bit hard to walk. Never got a strike on it though, so I can't comment on hookups.

Hi OntarioFishingGuy, thanks for the response. How did you find the material of the frog itself? I'm thinking as long as it's soft enough to collapse it should be ok?

I found it a bit stiff, but it should collapse ok.

I use them at a private pond. They work, hook up ratio is like any frog. I've had many tear after two or three trips to said pond. But that can easily be 100+ bass. Good sized ones too. You do have to squeeze out water more often then a padcrasher. They are light might be tough to cast on what I read about typical frog set ups.. I use a 6'6 mh spinning rig with 15 lb power pro. They don't walk. But I don't really try either.

Thanks for the info! I'm more inclined to pick up a few after hearing about your experiences. Just wanted to make sure they weren't complete garbage that I'd be kicking myself for using. At the very least they'll give some variation to the Pad Crasher colours (have a very limited selection here).
