first cranks

Featured Replies

I made my first attempt at making some crankbaits this winter and just wanted to show them off.  They're carved from basswood blocks and painted with a cheap airbrush.  I think they came out looking pretty good for a first attempt.  They don't all run very well.  But I just want to catch a fish on at least one of them so I can say I got one on my own lure.  Anyway, let me know what you think.

Ive always wondered how everybody does that scale effect on the side. Im looking to paint a few cranks myself and would like to try that.

I see your in champaign i go to school just down the road in bloomington.

I dont think you will have any trouble catching one on that top water plug.

they all look great though

nice job

They sure look good to me, now lets get them wet and see what the bass think.

lovin' it man!  that topwater plug looks great!  i'm sure you'll have no problem pulling in some pigs on those baits.

Thanks for the positive feedback.  I hope they catch some fish.  If I have any luck, I'll post pics.

Those look great. I'm sure you'll get some big'uns.
