Powell Diesel?

Featured Replies

Looking for a cheap cranking rod and was wondering how this rod preformed?

I have the old black and red one with the EVA split grip. I like mine alot, and I use it to throw squarebills and ocassionally a rattle trap. No problems with mine, and I've had it for a couple months now.  I'm sure the new model is good too. Powell always makes quality rods.

Great. I'd buy another on in a second.

The Powell Inferno is the most underrated rod on the market. I use a 7'1" MH MF... It's not too stiff and I do not lose fish.

I have a Powell Diesel, 7', MH, CB rod I got off of TW for $58 bucks. Decent little rod for squarebills, semi-shallow to medium divers. Too short for my taste, but darn sure worth $58, if you can get one at that price.
