Navionics Syncing Between Devices Question

Featured Replies

I'm looking to buy a raymarine dragon fly for the console on my cc boat and a lowrance elite 7 for the bow. How can I sync the navionincs chips in both to show the same waypoints? Even if I had to do it at the end of the day that would be fine. Or would I be better off going with the same brand for console and bow ?

Thanks

Waypoints are not part of the mapping function. Mapping is just a background on the plotter screen. Waypoints are stored in the unit's memory.

The Navionics mapping is read directly from the media card.

Raymarine and Lowrance do not speak the same language and connot share data even via memory card. There is no such connection that shares data between brands.

You would have to take a computer wih you to use software to translate the data from one format to the other.

Bottom line-----you cannot mix brands.
