Fall Topwater Action

Featured Replies

Today I stopped at one of my honeyholes to see if the topwater bite was still on. Water temp was 62 and a slight breeze. I was throwing a Booyah pad crasher frog on 50lb braid. Ended up catching 2 bass. One blew up on the frog 3ft from the bank right in front of me and several got off before I could get them in. We'll see how much longer before the topwater bite stops.

Thanks. I'm in Delaware and the air temp was about 57.

Awesome that's a cool looking frog, and those are some nice bass. I'm surprised it's still so warm up there in the Midatlantic, but looks like the fishin is great!

Nice fish.  Congrats!

Awesome fish and glad to hear the topwater frogs are still working. I also use a Booyah (although the junior version)  and absolutely love fishing with it. Last time I was out it seemed slower than the previous trips but could also be because the area I'm fishing is starting to receive its annual return of salmon and could be pushing the bass out.

Fingers crossed for us that we have a few more weeks yet of topwater action!

Thanks. I'm in Delaware and the air temp was about 57.

Where ya at in DE?
