Diawa Laguna And Diawa Air D Spinning Rods

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I seen some of these cheaper Diawa rods recently when browsing the various rods and reels available and I have to say that they seemed to be surprising good quality especially considering the cheap price point.

Basically, has anybody had experience with these spinning rods, be it good or bad, and how was it?

I bought the Laguna for my dad for his birthday this year. I can't give you a full review because I have only used it twice, but it seems surprisingly light and sensitive.

I just bought a daiwa triforce 7 ft medium fast casting rod for $35, and it's an awesome rod for what I paid. The biggest fish I have pulled in with it was 5# and it handled good, I had 6 lb test on my reel so I was kinda nervous to torque on him, but it had enough backbone to keep him turned. And it's actually really light

Wow, I guess there is not much love for Diawa rods on this forum. Maybe I should just shy away from these rods then.
