bluegill spinnerbait

Featured Replies

I just bought a KVD 3/16 oz bluegill spinnerbait for some local ponds off basspro.com. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fish it?

the same way you fish any other spinnerbait.

If you don 't know that, then here ya go.... just give it an erratic retrieve..get it next to and into cover when you can.  Experiment with different speeds and stuff to find what the fish want on that day.

Stumps, trees, grasslines, grassbeds, points, rocks...all good places to try a spinnerbait.

You can chunk and wind spinnerbaits, that'll catch fish, too...you can give it a few shakes during the retrieve..vary speeds, let it "die" and flutter from time to time, just about anything your mind can imagine..try it.

That looks like a very cool spinnerbait.  I like that color.  The size you got shoud do fine for ponds with smaller bass.  This bait should immitate a bluegill very well.  Just cast it out aroud some weads and hang on!
