Lews Reel Comparison

Featured Replies

Hey guys I've got a few Lews I need compared. If you can't compare all of them, since it is a lot of reels to compare at one time, then compare a couple you have used, please. I have 4 Lews i need reviews of.

Lews Team Gold vs Lews Tourney Pro vs Lews BB1 Pro vs Lews BB2 Pro Wide

It will either be going on a Powell Endurance 723 or a Powell Max 704.

I need to put the new Lews on one of these and then I have a Curado 200G6 to put on the other.

The 723 will be used for spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, jerkbaits and flukes and the 704 will be used for top waters, swim jigs, punching, and just for heavy cover.

So... I really need help deciding what reel to buy and what rod to put it on considering the info above^.

Another piece of info is I would like the longest handle as possible out of these. Sorry I'm very picky so that why I need help from people with experience with these reels. Thanks guys!

The tournament pro is the best option for an all around reel. If weight is an option ( say for a jerkbait rod) then go with the tournament lite. I also love my  bb1pro in 5:1 and would get a high speed in an instant.  Caught this guy on the bb1pro.

The Chatterbaits i fish are pretty big. Can weight up to about 3/4 oz to 1oz. So Ya weight is pretty big. And I fish 3/8 and 1/2 spinnerbaits. I've heard bb1 pros are good for heavier baits. What about the gold or bb2 pro wide?

I fish 1/2 & 3/4 spinnerbaits and 1/2 & 3/4 bladed jigs on a TP. Works great for me.

Yeah I love my TP, I think it will handle your heavy baits well, but also give you the option to do more diverse things as well better than some of the other reels.
