I generally get better results from crankbaits that have a wide wobble.

I have lots of inexpensive baits that I would like to try and modify to get a wider wobble.

bomber model a's, cordells, etc.

What can i do to try and get a broader side to side action.

If I ruin the baits it is not a problem so any and all suggestions are welcome.

Don, on baits where the lip and body are molded togetherit can be dificult to modify the lip. Usually to get a wide wobble you want the tow point to be close to the bait and at a steeper angle downward from the horizontal.

I've seen a few guys heat up and bend the Lexan lips to increase the angle on Bagley DB3's and DB3 Mags, but I'm guessing that would be difficult with the thicker, molded in lips that you're going to be dealing with on the Model A's.......but perhaps an interesting experiment.
